世界のみなさん、こんにちは。私たちは、アジアの平和、世界の平和を希求する日本人・ブロガーです。
　みなさん、私たちの国・日本の憲法第９条に何が書かれているか、ご存知でしょうか？

The Japanese people had a huge amount of casualties resulting from World War 2 which ended 60 years ago. In our history we had killed, oppressed and inflicted pain on millions of people in Asia. After the end of war, the Japanese people promised the world that we would never again wage war and we rejoined the international community. Article 9 was incorporated into our Constitution as a result.

　私たちの国・日本は、６０年前に終結した第２次世界大戦で、多くの戦死者を出しました、また、多くの国々の人々を殺したり、抑圧したりして、多大なご迷惑をおかけした歴史を持っています。戦争後、私たちの国は「二度と戦争をしない」と世界にお約束をすることで、国際社会の一員に加わることができました、そして日本国憲法の第９条にこう書き込んだのです。

The original text of Article 9 stated:

Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of setting international disputes.
In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.

　日本国憲法第９条

　『日本国民は、正義と秩序を基調とする国際平和を誠実に希求し、国権の発動たる戦争と、武力による威嚇又は武力の行使は、国際紛争を解決する手段としては、永久にこれを放棄する。
　前項の目的を達するため、陸海空軍その他の戦力は、これを保持しない。国の交戦権は、これを認めない。』

What do you think about this? Can you believe a country like Japan, which has great economic power and has 120 million people, would promise the world that we would never wage war and never again use its military force? Thanks to this provision, there has been no foreign war victims for the past 60 years. As Japanese citizens we are proud! We strongly hope the rest of the world will also place a similar provision in their Constitutions.

　どうでしょう、日本のように経済力も人口もそこそこ大きな国が「戦争をしない」「軍隊を持たない」と世界に向けて約束をしているなんて信じられますか？しかし、
この憲法のおかげで私たちの国は戦後６０年、戦争によってただの一人も外国人を殺すことも、殺されることもなかったのです。このことは、私達日本人の誇りであり、
世界の人に是非同じ憲法を持っていただきたいとさえ思っています。

What comes your mind when YOU think about Japan? Is it "Toyota", "Sony“, shushi” ?
We would rather export our Constitution’s Article 9 - because we believe it will lead to world peace - rather than exporting "the energy saving car" or "Playstation" , or Japanese animation.

　みなさんが知っておられる「日本」と言えばなんでしょう？「ＴＯＹＯＴＡ」それとも「ＳＯＮＹ」？私たちは世界のみなさんに「省エネタイプの自家用車」や「プレイステーション」よりも、この、世界を平和にする憲法９条を輸出したいと思っているのです。

But; we have to make an unfortunate announcement. We now have a prime minister and other ministers in Japan who strongly believe that Article 9 is a problem with our national reputation. Making this situation more difficult is the United States, our “ally” who keeps more than one hundreds military bases all over Japan. The US government is now heavily pressuring Japanese politicians to abolish Article 9!
In conjunction with this situation, the Japanese corporate media is also campaigning for the revision of Article 9. Therefore, the number of Japanese citizens who think it might be a good idea to abolish Article 9, is unfortunately increasing.

　しかしながら、みなさんに残念なお知らせをしなくてはいけません。この『戦争をしない』と誓った素晴らしい憲法９条を邪魔だと考える人が日本の権力の座に付いてしまいました。そして、日本の同盟国であり日本の国土のあちこちに軍事基地を設置している戦争大好き国家・米国が、日本に対して憲法９条を廃止するよう圧力をかけてきています。また、マスメディアの宣伝によって、日本国民の中にも軍隊を持たないと約束をした憲法９条を無くしてしまって「日本も軍隊をもったほうがいいのじゃないか」と考え始める人が徐々に増えつつあります。

In this turbulent world situation, we want to rejuvenate Article 9 of our Constitution again and clasp hands with our friends around the world who are eager for peace. We want to activate the Japanese people to get together - shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the world - to block the attempts to abolish Article 9.

　私たちは、平和を求める世界のみなさんと手をつなぐために、あらためて憲法九条を激動する世界に輝かせたいと考えます。そのためには、日本国憲法を守るという一点で多くの日本人と、そして世界の人々と手をつなぎ、「改憲」のくわだてを阻むため、一人ひとりができる、あらゆる努力を、いますぐ始めることを訴えています。
